April
Emmy is now 10 and that is the age that children can join their parents for a workout at the Y. She had a great time learning how to use all the equipment. She learned that having good form makes for harder work for you muscles! I enjoyed her company and she is now mom's new workout buddy!
8.44 miles at GABR this year, 1st place over all females, 3rd among ALL riders (over 1,200) and my best ride yet at soon-to-be 40 years old! My team once again placed 1st as well. I raced over to graduation and was there by 10 am after my ride. It was a busy day but it was fun to support a good cause and to beat all my PT students who try to keep up with me.
My research team presented a good project that I spent much time advising this year.
Robb took Emmy and her friends to the Bucks game. They had a great time.
The boys headed out to the ranch to shoot Bobby's new bow and Emmy and I checked out the new YMCA pool facility. Emmy and I rode bike to the Y and back that day...I wore her out but she did great.

Bucks game, Capital field trip, and last basketball game of season
We went to our first Bucks game as a family. I discovered the games are more about eating snacks then watching the game for the kids. They did catch T-shirts and multiple footballs thrown from the field, which was stressful for me and fun for them. I'm always worried that if they don't manage to catch something they will be disappointed. We ended up on the Jumbotron....A LOT. One of the times I managed to take a selfie of us. My phone is in front of my face, but the other family members you can kind of see in the picture. We had a great time!
I helped chaperone Emmy's field trip to the capital. I re-learned my ND studies since it has been about 30 years since my last capital trip. She was excited to have me there and we enjoyed each other as we toured around the capital and Heritage Center.
Bobby had his last basketball game. He scored about 20 points and was pretty tough on defense. He is really a great little player and he has fun out there. I will miss watching his games!

Emmy's birthday dinner at Shogun
Emmy had a special birthday dinner at her favorite restaurant. Her best friend Sophie and Sophie's little sister, Sadie joined us. Rocky and Amy (Sophie's parents) had all kinds of extra special surprises for Emmy that made her dinner the best ever. We are so blessed with these friendships. Emmy has chosen such great girls to be close friends with this year. She is a great friend herself and so kind to others. She often gets thank you notes from younger girls for cheering them up or for being kind to them. I'm very proud of this thoughtful, sweet 10 yr old girl.

We celebrate Emmy turning 10!
Emmy chose a pool party to celebrate turning 10 this year. She had some really nice friends there at her party and a REALLY COOL Bernese Mountain dog cake that I had made for her. The cake was a hit and the girls had a blast swimming. Baby Alexis played peek-a-boo and all her cousins made it as well. Special attendee was three of her grandmas: Candy, Launa and Van, and her grandpa Bob too. It was a very fun day!
