November

Bobby got his buck! Our hunters were successfull!

Bobby has been training hard to be ready for his baseball tourney in Florida over Thanksgiving. He trains with the baseball coach from U Mary and he is doing really well.
I'm hanging in there, my body has lots of side effects but I'm checking off those numbers and getting closer to 16 every week.
BIG NEWS!!! Emmy made the National Honor Choir!!! She gets to go to Texas in March now and is so excited. This is such a big deal for our little singer. What a talent.

Bobby is now in choir too and the teacher often likes to compare him to Emmy and tell him that he should start trying out for solos since he's got such talent in the family.
Emmy convinced us that we should start decorating for Christmas right after Halloween. I love Christmas and so it was an easy yes. She sang carols and decorated the house. We convinced Robb that we needed outside decorations too this year.

We went to a haunted car wash after getting frozen yogurt one day. It was fun but I am a big scaredy cat and moved into the back seat while forbidding Bobby to roll down the window while the monsters were out.

Emmy's hockey season is almost underway! She is a sophomore this year and we are looking forward to a great season.

Sept/October 2024

It was time to proactively shave my head as I go through treatment. Bobby wanted to do this with me. He looks adorable and has inspired many at his school to also want to do this. At his parent-teacher conferences his teachers raved about his faith, his love for his mom (he prays for me at school daily), and his super smart brain. He is testing at a 12th grade level for English currently and is doing really well with his grades.
The kids have been finding all kinds of ways to support me. Emmy and Dr. Emmel collected prayers and intentions from her classmates. They reached 163 hours of people praying for me. Emmy was so excited to bring this home along with the flowers Dr. Emmel bought for me. Emmy's teachers told us she has great class contributions and behavior. She is excelling in languages, religion, choir, geometry. She is smart and very confident in her creative abilities.
The SGSHS faculty and students had a pink out day to support breast cancer survivors

I got to pull off another chemotherapy number from my countdown.....10 to go and I can't feel the tumor.
Bobby is on the A soccer team (and still playing football). He tried to make as many games as possible and prioritized soccer the last couple weeks to help his team in the tournament. They ended up playing for 3rd place against Simle. Bobby played amazing and made the only goal for his team. They lost 2-1 in a heartbreaker because Bobby scored another goal that got called back for off sides (highly controversial call). We were so proud of him! His team wore pink socks this month to support breast cancer (and me).
Emmy is back singing with Praise Band on Sundays. We've been enjoying the Sunday service.

Bobby wants to work towards confirmation and has been participating in Youth group. He was in a commercial for a Butter Braids fundraiser.

Olivia Lundeen asked me to join the volleyball team in recognition of cancer awareness. This picture is 3 survivors. Heather had breast cancer and Tonya had lymphoma (both moms of girls on the team).

Bobby got his entire football team pink break cancer sleeves to play in. They wore pink this month too. I've got THE BEST FAMILY support. I love them with my whole heart.
