September 2024

Emmy is featured in advertisements for Countryfest. She has been auditioning for solos and honor choirs and really enjoying these opportunities as school gets underway.
Biscuit has become an expert in begging. She knows the sound of the fridge opening and whip cream spraying and immediately comes running. She also sneaks into the pantry whenever someone opens that door since that is where her treats are. Who could resist that face and the stare (she doesn't look away until the treat is given). We all have decided I am the first to give in and also give the most treats.
I won't say much about this on a blog that is about the joy and great memories in Emmy and Bobby's life. In August, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It is curable and I am strong. I've got a Mayo confirmed treatment plan, an awesome support system, and a countdown for the 16 chemo infusions. My kids and husband have been great, amazing blessings and God has been answering prayers and providing me with love, peace, and security. I've got this!
Emmy is licensed and on the road! She drives to and from school in Robb's former white truck. She has had a few mishaps (unexplained scratches on front fender corner), ran the side mirror into garage and broke it, dead battery (grandpa came and saved the day on that one). Her being able to drive has made our lives easier all in all.
Emmy got her ears pierced. She handled it like a trooper and looks beautiful in her new opal earrings!

We enjoyed some time over Labor Day weekend at the ranch together. We celebrated my mom's birthday. The kids played with the animals. Emmy got to meet new kitties! Bobby got a tractor driving lesson from Grandpa. We just enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery. A wonderful place to spend time together and get even closer to our Lord. God made amazing animals and landscape on this earth and the ranch has some of the best.

Omega Mart, sphere, surfing

We visited Omega Mart which was half silly weird supermarket and half secret rooms with codes and puzzles to solve. It was a strange experience and we enjoyed exploring.

The sphere was super cool! The theatre was all around us with sounds, smells, movement. There was also a pre-show with robots to interact with.

Emmy asked the robot a question after the robot originally made a joke about us being "TWINS." Emmy asked her how many basketballs could fit into the sphere.  She calculated an answer and then took a selfie with us saying, "rock on!"

Bobby tried to master surfing at our hotel pool. Lots of falls but also some good attempts at surfing were the result.

Morgan Wallen concert

Emmy's choice was Cheesecake Factory on the night Bobby and I went to Morgan Wallen. Ella Langley, Nate Smith and Bailey Zimmerman opened for him and then concert went from 5:30-11! It was a long night but we had such a great time.
Tom Brady and Mike Tyson walked him in....that was entertaining. Bobby and I knew all the words to all the songs and we sang along and had the best time together.

Bobby enjoyed this taco mess he got from a stand at the Allegiant Stadium.
We are country fan buds for life!
