Christmas memories

Emmy somehow managed to look both tough and beautiful in her hockey photos this year.
We celebrated a bit early with the Moldenhauer bunch.

We made gingerbread houses together and also did a few other cooking projects.

This year we did not go to Florida so instead I bought more gifts. We had the best time unwrapping over the course of 2-3 days. The kids got me some very thoughtful gifts. Bobby got me a beautiful necklace with a cross. Emmy got me a shirt that said Trust God Psalms 37:5 and a bracelet she picked out charms (charms were religious related). The kids got Uggs, blankets, perfume, slippers, new joggers and sweatshirts, and lots more. Robb got some great gifts and he gave me some really great gifts too (see mug).

Bobby and I put together lots of puzzles. This has become something we do together over Christmas break. Emmy is more into Biscuit cuddles than puzzles.
We celebrated the birth of Jesus! Bobby got a new Bible for Christmas and we are now doing guided devotionals together before bedtime. We read the verse, reflect and share, then we direct our prayer with the verse we read together. This is really a special time and I'm so grateful that he wants to do this with me.

Thanksgiving and baseball

The boys went to Florida for Bobby's baseball camp. Emmy, Biscuit and I binge watched TV and ordered in lots of sushi to make sure we were having a great Thanksgiving break too.
Bobby made sure to get his favorite airport meal - pizza. They had a smooth trip to Florida but a long Mpls layover on the way home.
Bobby loved his teammates this year and they won some games. Bobby hit 5/8 for .625% during the games and also won the Best Defender award for his entire age group. He had a great time with sunny weather and time with his dad.

He discovered a love for Poke bowls at the clubhouse (mom's favorite too) and now is a tuna lover in general. Nice to see some of my taste rubbing off on him! They joined some of his new teammate friends on the last day at Dave and Buster's and had dinner together. He is hoping to keep in touch with his new friends.

Emmy most relaxed with me but she has been earning tons of solos, including "What Child is This?" at the upcoming Christmas concert. Hockey and Jazz Choir are keeping her very busy but with her license she has the freedom to get herself to all these practices. I loved spending some extra time with her over Thanksgiving.
