January is crazy busy!

This month has been crazy busy for all of us.  The kids have hockey both days every weekend and they are getting to be such great skaters and players.  I love watching them and they often look up to the stands to where I am sitting which is fun.  Bobby gave his last Pre-K performance at EMDC.  He sang and danced and knew every word.  Emmy and I cheered very loud and dad took great pics.  Emmy is back at dance and she loves her new outfit.  She had pictures this week and hasn't had an official performance but is working hard to learn the dance since she is joining up with the group late.  Today we sign Bobby up for Kindergarten and although he is very ready.....I am feeling so nostalgic.  I can't believe my kids have grown up so fast.  I've enjoyed every year but I wish I could slow down time just a bit!

Christmas Break fun

We had a great time over the Christmas break.  The kids and I spent extra time together making Play Do projects, having spa time amongst other fun times.  Grandma Launa booked a limo and we went around looking at the lights.  This was a really amazing time for the kids who went crazy for some of the big displays.

We got on a plane after Christmas day and headed to Florida.  The kids were great travelers!

We went to an amusement park called Zoomers and the kids enjoyed many rides.  Bobby and I challenged Emmy and Robb to a Go cart race where we beat everyone including them.  Bobby and I were very proud of our fast racing!  Robb and my mom took the kids on the bumper boats that had squirt guns.  I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids and mom, Robb in the boats or dad and I who laughed a lot watching them duel in the water.  There were some girls riding in their boats who really enjoyed getting Robb soaked.  Emmy ducked behind him so he really took a while to dry off!  We then went for lunch and after eating an entire personal pizza and their fries the kids wanted dessert.  Emmy had her eye on a HUGE slice of chocolate cake but Bobby doesn't like chocolate and so he wanted Funfetti cake.  We were on vacation and that meant getting both slices and sharing.  Needless to say there were still leftovers of that cake since it was more than all of us could eat.

The Shell Factory is another place we go each year.  This year the kids enjoyed getting to see all the animals, feeding some, taking pictures and finding a special item to spend their Xmas money on.  They love learning about lizards, snakes, etc.  Emmy wants to be a vet she tells us (amongst other jobs).  She gets right in there and pets lizards.
The kids enjoyed ice cream and poolside drinks with their grandparents one day while Robb and I went out to the Outlet Mall.  They love that time with their grandparents.
We also got to go for a boat ride this year.  Scott and Liz took us out for an afternoon.  We tried to find dolphins but couldn't see any on this day (which was SO disappointing to poor Emmy) but Captain Bobby got to drive the entire ride which he loved.  We ate a great lunch and really had fun seeing the area by boat.

We also got to get a mani/pedi - Emmy's first!  She loved getting pampered and picking her colors.  I enjoyed watching her really enjoy that special time with me and Grandma.

New Years Eve fun at the club house.  We enjoyed amazing food, dancing, conversation.  It was a night to remember for sure!

The kids also enjoyed the little beach at the community.  Emmy loved collecting sea shells and Bobby played on the play ground.  I also learned that Bobby is really good at creating new work out moves and dance moves for us as he joined me in a quick work out one day.  Downward dog pose with a kick was one of his favorite and some of his moves looked a lot like the Power Ranger fighting moves I've seen him do at home.  Emmy and Bobby were VERY well behaved and I made sure to tell them I appreciated how well they listened and behaved on the entire trip.  As I was telling Emmy this one night she said to me, "Well, if we were dogs we would deserve a doggie treat!"  Yes, so true!

We also went to a park where the kids could run through the fountains in the swim suits.  They have enjoyed that every year.
