July is FUN!

Emmy's dreams have come true with the adoption of these two Bermese Mountain Dogs.  They are technically grandma and grandpa's but they've been spending lots of time at our house and Emmy has been at their house a lot too.

Emmy got to go to an Awesome U Mary vball camp again this year.  Then we had a great lunch on campus just the two of us.  She had the BEST pizza she had ever eaten and a couple deserts.  She tried a frappacino that wasn't really good tasting (too much coffee) so after a few sips she decided to give it to her coaches.  When she gave it to them she told me, "man, that feels so good to give!"

We had a fun amusement park day.  We did mini golf, the basketball shooting game, rode the slides and did all the rides!

Trying to keep the blog up with the kids' activities!

The 4th of July was full of a lot of fun at the Moldenhauer Lake Cabin.  We had many inner tube rides and watched fireworks that were pretty amazing.  The kids really enjoyed their cousins.  Bobby ate fresh fish he had caught with Robb....and ribs....can't forget the ribs!

The kids had a sleepover with their friends.  They didn't stay up too late and they were able to picnic out on the patio for breakfast and have smore's and hot dogs for dinner.

Emmy and I have been keeping up with her BIO girls workouts.  Bobby has been joining us.  Our motto should be - Always stay positive (like Emmy's shirt) and we try our best to work through the side aches and not complain too much (at least Bobby and I do).  Emmy is trying her best to enjoy those workouts like her mom does!  I do appreciate the time with the kids.

We got to babysit our cousin Lexi last week.  The kids are so enamoured of her.  She is a sweet little girl and we love having her to ourselves to just love up on!

We finally were able to pick up the Orange Leaf party pack that Emmy and I won a drawing for a few months ago.  We invited over our friends to enjoy the treats with us!

Emmy had U Mary basketball camp for a few days and so Bobby and I had some mother/son time.  He wanted to enjoy his favorite restaurant and meal....at the U Mary dining services.  He at two huge plates of stir fry that was made by a staff worker there who knows him by name and has taking a liking to him.  He then devoured a few desserts.  We played a game of pool that day as well....two hours later he had a smoothie to go and we finally left the dining hall.  On another day we played a game of bowling.  Bobby and I are actually pretty evenly matched in both pool and bowling....which is to say, neither of us are that great at those two games.  We have a good time though!
Emmy is having a great time at BIO girls.  Her other BIO girls voted her the bucket filler award the first night and she was very happy to accept that honor.  She also has been running hard and fast on our group runs.  I am very proud of this little sweetie!
Bobby and Emmy convinced me to let them sleep in a fort they had constructed in Bobby's room.  I did check on them an hour later and the fort was demolished and they were sleeping as you see in the picture.  I asked if they wanted to move to their beds but they were very happy sleeping like this.

I made the family breakfast that they ate on the porch the other day.  The weather has been sunny and beautiful and Bobby often convinces Robb to play catch with him outside.

Emmy and I went on a long bike ride to Sky Zone, jumped for 30 minutes and then headed back home again on our bikes.  We then drove for a treat at Orange Leaf.  Bobby and Robb went to the ranch to fish and shoot guns.  They ate their fish of course once back....we had a busy, active day!

The puppies are HERE!  The kids are SO excited to welcome their new dogs (who will live at their grandparents house most of the time).  Emmy cried with happiness!  Lilly is the dog that "belongs" to Emmy/Bobby and Mason and Cameron names their dog Lucy.  The kids spent the night next to the puppies last night and Emmy has been physically attached to Lilly.  She loves her dogs so much.
