BIO girls race at the Bismarck Marathon

Grandma Launa got Bobby this cross necklace one day as they ran errands.  A group was selling them outside of Walmart for fundraising and Bobby really wanted one.  He wears it to school often and gets a lot of compliments!
Emmy and I had a great BIO girls race.  We were up bright and early on a rainy day.  The rain didn't stop us and we had a great race.  Emmy didn't walk once and was very determined to do her best.  I was not only proud of her performances but also proud of how she cheered for her teammates!

My Women's relay once again won first.....by far!  I ran an average of 6:58 for my 5.3 miles and was sore for a few days afterwards.  I love the team and it was fun to join them again for another win.

I was so proud to get to be Aubrey's mentor.  She worked so hard and had such grit and determination.  Emmy and I joined the other BIO girls who cheered her in at the finish.  It brought tears to my eyes and the eyes of many who watched this amazing young lady give it her all!

Coach Robb's team is off to a great start once again this year.  Bobby loves having his dad coach (as you can see from the picture).

Bobby had picture day and wanted to wear his new suit.  I told him he should wear sweatpants on the bottom since he often wears his clothes out at the end of the day.  He was business on the top and part on the bottom.  The kids have been doing very well afterschool and so as a treat we had a Starbucks breakfast together that day.

Prince Ball

My Prince Bobby has been looking forward to our annual Prince Ball night for a couple weeks now.  He was so sweet....opening doors, giving lots of love and hugs, and just really making his date feel loved.

He ate a lot of treats and danced like crazy!  We invented our own moves and Bobby's favorite move was a spin into a crossed arm and then finished with a hug and kiss.  We two stepped and free styled and just had a great time together.  We then finished off the night with cuddle time while watching some game shows in my bed.  He fell asleep holding me hand.......my mom heart was SO happy.

Ranch life and winning races

Grandma's 67th birthday and also her Anniversary!  We celebrated out at the ranch this year.  We talked Grandpa into playing Apples to Apples where he was the all time judge.  He definitely favored the boys' team but the girls still won.  Grandma Launa knows the judge better than he knows himself so we had quite the advantage in knowing what cards he would choose in the game.  I laughed so hard I had tears coming out of my eyes!

The kids take the road races in Almont VERY seriously.  They both won....by a good margin.  They each won 2$ and bragging rights for another year.   It has been fun to see them get competitive.  Bobby was stretching and jumping around to warm up.
Bobby and Robb slept in the tent overnight at the Ranch, by the river.  Emmy and I agreed to join them when they move the camp site closer to the house.

Emmy LOVES the kitties and they love her.  We visited the kitties quite a bit while we were at the ranch.

Fishing and shooting are favorite ranch past times.  The kids really enjoy the river.

Bobby has gotten quite comfortable going to the Almont bar with his dad.  He gets a root beer and cranks the jukebox to play "God's Country"

I started back for another year at U Mary.  Almost done with this EdD and met my goal of writing the dissertation over the summer.  Still have 2 courses to take, but getting so much closer to the finish line!
