Bobby's midnight snack

Around 12:30-1 a.m. last night we were awakened by a crying Bobby.  When Robb (since he only allows Robb to help him these days) went down to check on him he told him he was "SO hungry!"  Then he led Robb upstairs and to the pantry where he proceeded to request a late night snack.  He ate a small meal and then Robb took him back down to his room.  Bobby asked where mommy and Emmy were and Robb told him we were all sleeping as he should be.  Then everyone went back to bed. I hope our growing boy doesn't make late night snacking a habit!

Early morning surprise

Usually anywhere from 6-7 a.m. we are awakened by Emmy running into our room and wanting to eat breakfast, watch cartoons or lay next to mommy.  Sometimes she cries out as she runs since she gets nervous in the dark house on the way to our room.  This morning I heard little footsteps running as fast as could be and a voice kind of whining and sounding a little frightened.......here comes our Emmy I though to myself.  In fact, I even yelled out to her, "Emmy what is wrong, do you want to come lay with mommy?" Then Robb said to me as the little runner reached his bedside, "Ah, it's not Emmy"  I was shocked to see little Bobby up in our bedroom!  He had somehow gotten out of his bed, opened the bedroom door, come up the stairs and ran into our bedroom....all in the dark!  I'm not sure what we are going to do now since I'm not really ready for him to be in a big boy bed.  The first thing Bobby said to me was, "I'm hungry!"  He also told us he would share his blankies that he had brought up with daddy but not with mommy.  I can't believe our almost 2 year old is out of his bed and talking so well.  I am sad to see my baby growing up so fast!

Saturday!

Today we had a busy day.  We took the kids swimming and then to a playground and finished the day off with smoothies.  The only downside was that there was a guys swim meet at the pool and since the guys were running hot showers the girls locker rooms were not.  Emmy and I took a nice refreshing ice bath before going out into the cold snow storm.  The kids ended up going to bed pretty early since they were exhausted.  Emmy was having some naughty moments and so she went to bed earlier than usual and after her dad came out from reading her a book I came in to say prayer and she met me at the door with her hands on her hips telling me, "I need go tell dad that he ruined my life!"  I tried so hard to keep a straight face when I told her that wasn't true and she could not tell me that.  She then yelled over to her dad, "Dad, I need to tell you that you ruined my life and my heart is broken!"  Turns out Emmy wanted two books instead of just one from dad and he had said no.  What a drama queen!
