A surprise visit to gymnastics

This month has been busy.  Bobby got Croup and we had a late night ER visit with him and two visits to the pediatrician before we got him feeling better.  Emmy has been illness free which is a blessing.  I have had to work late a few nights including tonight and so I stopped by Gymnastics for a surprise visit.  She was very happy to see me and I got a lot of hugs, kisses.  It was fun to watch her do some tricks and have fun with her friends.

Cameron turns two

Baby Cameron is turning into a big boy and we had a party to celebrate.  A Mickey party!  The kids greatly enjoyed their cake and 'helped' open gifts with Cameron too.

Outdoor fun

Our family had a great time at the Ranch and in our own yard playing in the snow over the past weekend.  The Moldenhauers and Hallovoets were out at the ranch and Uncle Chad pulled the kids around the ranch yard all afternoon.  At first Emmy made me ride with her since she was nervous but soon she and Bobby were up for wild and fast rides without any regard for their safety.  On Sunday Robb helped them make a snow man that they were pretty proud of.

Good little pilots

Emmy and Bobby got to sit in the Captain's chair.  It was pretty cool.  They did very well traveling on their flight.  They watched movies, played computer, colored and ate LOTS of snacks.

Beach day

We had a great beach day in Florida.  The weather was beautiful there and the kids loved playing in the sand and ocean.  We arrived to see a guy who was made up and posed as a statue.  Bobby thought he wasn't real at first but upon seeing him move was pretty mesmorized.  Grandpa Kelly gave him some money to put in the hat and the guy made all these funny squeaky noises while dancing and pointing at Bobby.  Bobby was SO entertained and even did some dance moves himself.

Emmy was a little afraid of this guy and chose to not get to close or give him any money.  Better safe than sorry for Emmy and that is okay with us!

Bobby spent most of his time transferring the beach sand back into to ocean.  He also enjoyed making sand castles and getting dirty.  He ran around all day on the beach.

Later that day we enjoyed a meal at the Crab Shack.  Good food and company!

Heading back home again

We had a couple hours to kill at the airport and so the kids begged us to take pictures of them with various things they found around the airport.  Emmy developed a taste for the kids cookies and cream shake at Caribou which happens to be a placed I never miss out on in the airport as well.  It got pretty difficult to keep them entertained towards to end but we managed to all get home safely and in good spirits!

adult fun in Florida

We did manage to get out for an evening of adult fun while in Florida. Robb met someone somewhat famous and befriended his entire family at the bar.

More Florida fun

We rode on bikes made for entire familes and the kids rode right in the front.  I think that Grandma Launa and I were the main bicyclists that kept us moving forward.  We laughed because I had a steering wheel that didn't actually steer (only hers moved us in different directions).  The guys in the back were impeding our forward progress at times but we still had a great time riding.

Later the kids jumped and played on some inflatables in the park.  They had a fantastic time until Emmy flipped completely over (did a full somersault in mid air) and bit her lip.  Tears were shed but they stopped when I mentioned ice cream and we moved on to the part of the park that offered water fun.  There were sprinklers and sprays that the kids ran through and they had a great time.

We woke up super early on New Year's Eve and drove to our hotel destination in Disney World.  The kids were good travelers and Grandma made sure we had breakfast to go.  I had researched, read about and pre planned our trip and things went VERY smoothly.

Emmy met Rapunzel and is now convinced that she is coming to babysit and also will be sleeping over (apparently Rapunzel told her this).

Bobby met Goofy and Donald and I have no idea what he told them during his time with them.  I did encourage him to tell them that he watches them on TV all the time.

Emmy was so excited to meet Ariel and has been talking about their meeting constantly ever since.

The kids also took pictures and met with Snow White.  Bobby didn't really talk much to the princesses but he sure snuggled right in when it was picture time.  He seemed to be enjoying his time with them....a true ladies man!

A princess pose!

We rode many rides and the kids enjoyed most of them although there were some scary rides that Bobby got nervous about (some where there were loud noises and it got very dark)

Emmy was the ultimate photo-bomber in this picture I tried to take of Bobby and Robb

Bobby was so excited to ride in the race cars!  He even got to drive the car and did pretty well.  Emmy did not want to drive our car and so I got to do the honors.  Emmy and I switched with Bobby so he could drive the orange car assigned to us since that is his favorite color.

We took a family picture right before we had to leave on the second day.  Two long days and nights at Disney world were enough for us.

The kids got their balloons and we headed back to Fort Myers!
