Emmy's school record pole vault finally got up on the record board!!

How exciting to see Emmy up on the board. I loved getting up on our CHS board for the 400, 800 relay and on the ND State record board for the 800 relay. They've retired those records over time but the sense of accomplishment remains as it will for Emmy.

Football season ends, Right to Life march and ELC

Bobby's football season came to an end 4-2-1 was the final stats. Soccer season also wrapped up and Bobby survived being able to complete in both sports (without being injured). He worked hard and contributed significantly to both teams.
I successfully presented at ELC with my colleagues in Philadelphia, PA. I had one last work obligation I wanted to wrap up before heading to Mayo to have a tumor on my parotid gland removed. I'm grateful for friends, colleagues and family who have stepped up to make it possible for me to recover in the next couple weeks.

Emmy and her school friends participated in March for Life. The lives of these babies are worth the efforts.

Emmy is a singing STAR!!

Words CANNOT express how amazing Emmy did with the two solos she had at the Choir and Jazz Choir concert this week. She had a solo that was almost the entire song with the Jazz Choir and she had another solo moment while singing with the choir. Robb and I had so many strangers and parents we knew come up to us raving about how beautiful her voice was during the performances. I cried the entire time....just so proud. Bobby was sitting next to me and he had his mouth open in awe and said to me at one point "You made her!!" She was poised and confident and truly seemed to be enjoying her moment on stage. She was also in the program featured for her solo at the Honor Choir. I got texts and emails from people I work with who heard her as well. She is very talented!!

Emmy's NDSU Honor Choir Solo

Fall happenings

We have been trying to make sure we make the most of fall weather. One rainy Saturday we went to Bismarket and had ice cream for breakfast. I love walking and talking with my sweethearts. They are so interesting, funny, and entertaining.
Emmy was chosen for the NDSU Honors Choir. She spent Sunday and Monday at NDSU and tried out for a solo. She was chosen to sing a riff she made up  for the audition. It was SO COOL to hear her beautiful, clear singing voice. We are so proud of her courage and her talent. She loves to sing and she has gotten better each year.

My women's relay team got first again this year. I ran my 6 miles at a 7 minute pace and felt great! We are blessed to get to do this annually and still win the race. The kids were there to cheer me on thanks to their dad.  I enjoyed getting to see them on the course cheering for me.

Bobby got his doe on deer opener. He was proud! He has the best dad who takes him hunting and makes sure he stays focused on his goal.
