Mom ran the Chicago rock n roll half marathon! I was very proud of her even though I slept through most of her running since she left the house at 5:30 for the 6:30 start time for the race. Since she ran 1 hr 38 min last time she ran the half marathon in Fargo she got to line up really close to the start line. She was about 10 ft away from some "semi-famous" people who were running and were interviewed at the grand stand before the race started. There was Jake and Jason who were on the show "The bachelor" and Kelly Killoran Bensimmon who is on another reality show mom watches. Also, Al Roker (Today show weatherman), Guiliana Rancic (E news anchor), Maria Menuonos (Access Hollywood) and the winner of last year's race Kara Goucher (who is a famous olympian runner). Mom did really well considering she had to stop twice to pee and the temp was 80 degrees with a lot of humidity. In the end she ran 1 hr 47 min which isn't her best time but she was happy with it all things considering.
